In our January newsletter we want to highlight our 2P representative, Edward Tarbi. He controls all of our activity surrounding the work we do in Akim Kwameng. We also wanted to briefly introduce you to our workers and the results from our Christmas Fundraiser. Thank you so much for being a part of what we do!
In February we wanted to highlight the process of making garri. While it is fairly straightforward, this is a process that requires several steps and some backbreaking work. We also had a visit from the agricultural department that was very informative and productive to the future of our mill.
In March of 2021, we added a water storage tank to the Cassava Mill. This will greatly assist in the washing of our cassava before it can be grated. We also discuss the trials in keeping firewood dry and announce the birth of the first baby at the 2P Maternity Ward – our project of 2019-20! It is exciting to see the progress we are making.
